Boozt invests in Liveshopper betting on a global fast growing e-commerce concept

On the growth journey towards becoming one of Europe's leading suppliers of live shopping solutions, the Danish software company Liveshopper has chosen Boozt as a new investor and strategic partner. Boozt acquires 30% of Liveshopper for a double-digit million amount.
The Danish company Liveshopper has developed an advanced software platform that makes live shopping straightforward for companies that want to create a more engaging and inspiring shopping experience. Liveshopper is ready for the next scale-up phase, and in search of active investors, Boozt was the immediate choice of partner.
Live shopping is a relatively new phenomenon in online commerce, but the growth in the field is massive. Based on the explosive development in China, the consulting firm McKinsey predicts that online sales generated by live shopping will account for between 10% and 20% of all e-commerce as early as 2026.
In recent years, Boozt has gained its own successful experience with live shopping events and is ready to develop the format further and, at the same time, offer live shopping services to its 1,800 brand partners.
“Live shopping is undergoing rapid development and is quickly gaining ground on a global scale as a new effective sales channel. We believe that live shopping will be a solid competitive parameter in the future e-commerce market. We see great opportunities to create closer ties with our customers and between customers and brands. We see exciting potential in offering a wide range of live shopping opportunities to our many brand partners. A prospect we look forward to fulfilling together with the team at Liveshopper", says Peter G. Jørgensen, CMO, and co-founder of Boozt.
Tim Frank Andersen changes role from Chairman of the Board to CEO
One consequence of the investment is that Tim Frank Andersen, co-founder, and investor in the company, takes over the role of CEO on May 1 from Brian Frisch, who is also a co-founder and who will take on the role of CTO in the future. The third co-founder Marc Eley continues as the development director of the company.
“We consider Boozt to be the perfect partner for us. Boozt has profound knowledge within e-commerce as one of the Nordic region's most significant players and they have strong relationships with over 1200 brands. We look forward to offering our services and solutions to them - across the markets in which Boozt operates ”, says Tim Frank Andersen.
Boozt's financial expectations for 2022 are unaffected by the investment.
